AED Prescription Requirement Overview:
The FDA currently categorizes most AEDs as medical devices requiring* a prescription to purchase (see exception below). Additionally, many areas also have regulations which require your "AED Program" to be supervised by a physician and meet certain conditions. Each AED owner must then follow the applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations for their state. Emergency Responders Network can help you easily meet these requirements.
